Double Fireplaces
You've decided to use wood as your primary or supplementary source of heating.
But you're still hesitating...
DOUBLE FEU® combines the advantages of a wood-burning stove with those of a beautiful open fireplace.

- In closed hearth mode, efficiencies EXCEED 85% (calories burned and returned as warm air).
- CLEAN AND ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY COMBUSTION, with very low dust and carbon monoxide emissions thanks to genuine first and double combustion (an innovation in this field).
- ENERGY SAVINGS: in closed fireplace mode, you prevent at least 2 kw/hour from going down the flue.
- The SAFETY of being able to retract the fire into the low fireplace at any time, and the double fire becomes a real wood-burning stove.

How Double Feu works
The double fire is a wood-burning heating system with a double hearth. Lighting the fire on the hearth floor offers a pleasant, comforting view of the fire. Tilt the firebox hatch, the embers fall into the "lower" firebox and you benefit from a closed, secure wood "heater" that can be coupled with a warm air distribution system. The system can be integrated into existing old or contemporary fireplace surrounds without altering the aesthetics.

IN FIREPLACE MODE
Once the fire has been transferred to the lower section, the double fire becomes a real wood-burning stove, allowing you to leave your home in complete safety. Closed flue damper prevents heat loss.

IN FIREPLACE MODE
Give free rein to the pleasures of an open fire and wood-fired grilling. Don't forget the ancestral function of your fireplace, that of cooking on it (the double hearth becomes a real stove where you can simmer your meals).
Hot air recovery

IN DYNAMIC DRIVE
The Doublefeu fireplace can be fitted with a motorized air supply unit. A blower is installed on one of the lower air inlets, drawing in ambient air from the room and pulsing it through the fireplace's double metal casing. The heated air then exits through two upper ducts, which in turn are connected to vents on the walls of the hood or in other rooms in the house, optimizing your wood-burning system.

DYNAMIC EXTRACTION
The fireplace can be fitted with a motorized hot air extractor. At the upper air intakes, ducts are connected to an extractor located in the attic. This extractor draws in and collects the hot air in the fireplace's double metal casing. The warmed air is then sent through a network of ducts to the rooms in the house.

IN STATICS
If the fireplace is not equipped with a blower or hot air extractor, the air must be able to pass through the fireplace's two lower air inlets (1 on the right and 1 on the left).
Warm air is recovered by natural convection. The air passes through the double metal casing of the fireplace, heating up along the way. It then exits through two upper ducts, themselves connected to vents on the hood walls.
